    Robin Weber Symposium: Overview of Immunology in Cutaneous Disorders – GS320

    This presentation will provide an evidence-based, up-to-date overview of the immunological basis of common cutaneous disorders. This "immunology overview" will enable novice and expert dermatology nurses and APRNs to understand how our immune system protects us from skin conditions, and what factors play a role in developing conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and urticaria. In addition, we will provide an overview of how targeted therapies such as biologics, JAK inhibitors and topical therapies work to help control chronic, immune-mediated dermatoses. Learning Objectives: Understand basic immunologic cells that play a role in skin homeostasis. Understand key cytokines involved in dermatoses pathogenesis.     Eyelid Tumors and Reconstruction – GS370

    Eyelid function is critical for the maintenance of ocular health and vision. Malignancies in this area can have have different biologic behavior which can be challenging for the practitioner. There are multiple treatment options to consider for this delicate structure where maximal tissue preservation is critical. Dermatologic surgeons can effectively work with other specialists to help ensure that their patients receive a cure with restored ocular function and optimal cosmesis.

    Identify some of the common malignant eyelid tumores and how to reconstruct the defects associated with their removal.
