Half Day Core Curriculum Workshop

Chair: Blake Bryant, DNP, FNP-C, DNC

The Aesthetics Lectures have been developed for the aesthetic dermatology health care provider to gain insight into a comprehensive approach to providing aesthetic services. It offers continuing education emphasizing both the basics of aesthetic dermatology, as well as new and innovative therapies. All attendees will be able to identify best practices in their own practice and add to their existing practice through new information. Diverse experts in aesthetic dermatology will offer education on topics including patient selection, consultation, and education, brief review of neurotoxins and fillers, laser therapies, cosmeceuticals, and safety/training. The course will utilize lecture, question and answer sessions, and case study review. Due to state law, there will be no hands-on portions of the course but detailed examples during case studies hopes to show real patient examples for deep learning.

Learning Objectives:
Describe updates to current safety guidelines for facial injections from emerging evidence review.
Compare and contrast the most common modalities, including brand names, to understand the breadth of available technologies and identify the overlapping themes in their outcomes.
Discuss the basic tenants of social psychology as it pertains to the face and skin.
Consult new patients and review current aesthetic cases to make plans for treatment, skin care product recommendations, and optimal outcomes.
